Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Informatica ETL Developer to join our team. The Informatica ETL Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) solutions using Informatica PowerCenter. The ideal candidate will have strong ETL development skills, a solid understanding of data integration concepts, and experience in working with large-scale data warehousing projects.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target data warehouse systems.

Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into ETL specifications and designs.

Develop and maintain Informatica mappings, workflows, and sessions to ensure efficient data movement and transformation.

Perform data profiling and analysis to understand data quality and develop data cleansing and transformation rules.

Optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and efficiency, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.

Work with database administrators and infrastructure teams to ensure proper setup and configuration of ETL environments and data connectivity.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ETL processes, data quality, and performance, working closely with stakeholders and other development teams.

Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure thorough testing of ETL processes and data integration flows.

Document ETL designs, technical specifications, and deployment procedures.

Stay updated with the latest Informatica PowerCenter features, enhancements, and best practices, and recommend their adoption as appropriate.

Provide guidance and support to junior developers, fostering their growth and development in ETL development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as an Informatica ETL Developer or in a similar role, with a focus on data integration and ETL development.

Strong knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter and its components, including mappings, workflows, sessions, and transformations.

Proficiency in SQL and database concepts, with experience in working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2.

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL best practices.

Experience in data profiling, data quality management, and data cleansing techniques.

Familiarity with data integration patterns, such as incremental loading, change data capture, and slowly changing dimensions.

Knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell scripting or Python is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Experience with scheduling tools such as Control-M or Autosys is a plus.

Knowledge of other ETL tools or technologies (e.g., Talend, DataStage) is a plus.
